The Pine Needle Magazine is a cultural journal, publishing extended essays, features, fiction, and commentary that reach beyond the typical forms and approaches of a newspaper. The Pine Needle Magazine originated as Codex, a print publication of the AP language arts students of Central High School in Rapid City, South Dakota, and it now an extension of the Pine Needle, Central’s school newspaper.
